Invisible Hands: Enabling Pacific Women in the Informal Economy

about psdi

Understanding the Pacific informal economy is essential for a complete picture of the economic role and contribution of women.

However, despite generating considerable economic output and providing employment to more than half the working population in many Pacific countries, the informal sector is not measured or reported in official statistics, and is often overlooked by government policy.

Invisible Hands: Enabling Pacific Women in the Informal Economy is the first in a series of PSDI reports focused on the role of women in the Pacific’s informal economy.
